do foragers ever stay away from the hive at night

yes but not normaly
they just get to far away to fly home or stop off at the pub and get ratted
or the weather stops them ie its raining

Or stop off at the local Lime tree and get p*ssed,its best they stay out because if they get home drunk the other bee's will kill them(literally).
