is there a cure for this problem?have read about moving hive up the apiary and shaking bees onto sheet,has anyone tried this? what were the results.

The ideal cure is a young laying queen.

How you achieve that status has more than a single route.

Preferably a new queen and spare frames of open brood being available is best at this time of the season, I would suggest, but there are several things to consider, as always.
