Ivy super, what to do

My bees have a super roughly 1/4 full of ivy honey, uncapped, the brood box is presumably packed full of stores as I fed them heavily mid September before a very mild autumn. Would you leave the super in place or take it off so they have less space to heat in the winter??

I'd put the super under the brood box, they can move the stores up if they feel so inclined and there is space, and you won't lose heat above the brood.

As you have a 14x12 and it is very heavy I would remove but if your bb is only heavy you could place the super under the bb and remove it late winter early spring.

Yeah, but.... a Q/E below can avoid mice in the brood box....

Can get a bit clogged if she turns drone layer, though.
