On YouTube link pulling glass tube the man then cuts the glass tip. But I can't make out which end he's cutting?

After pulling the melted capillary apart, the glass cools. The tip needs to be cut (in the centre), beveled (if desired) and flame polished

If you're good at it (with practice) you can get two tips from each pipette. However, expect your early attempts to be uneven/mis-shaped/unsuitable for use. Like most things, it takes practice

Yes. It is possible. However, the molten glass can sag in the middle due to the weight of the glass (timing/rolling in the flame affect this)
A tip puller makes a better/more consistent job of it

Sodiium Chloride 0.9% w/v Ph. Eur in that link. so just dissolve 0.9g of kitchen salt in 100ml (destilled) water, autoclave and you are done. not as pharmaceutially pure as what you buy but hey, they are just bees ;-)
