Long time no post! Have been rather busy! I have a colony that has chalk brood, it's now starting to affect the colony, know frame change and requeen is in order.

So what I am wondering is - I currently have enough Colonoes due to swarm collections this week and one of my hives also swarming yesterday- with my colony swarm I was thinking once settled in a week uniting the other with it?

I have never united before, put presume - kill the queen, that night once all are in bed move over to on top of swarm colony with newspaper and queen x to separate week later remove top hive and sterilize?

Is this a plan or is there something I have wrong?

I prefer culling queen, wait a week, remove all emergency queen cells, unite.

That way there is no chance with top tier and any queen cells. Belt and braces, but never failed yet.
