Dear all, Advise please! I have a very strong colony which was so full of of bees,I needed to put a super on at the beginning of April! I now have three very heavy supers on, pretty much filled (not sealed) yet the nearest OSR
that I know of is at least 2 miles away. Does Honey this early in the year have to be OSR or could it be general flora honey? I don't really want to take that amount of un sealed honey off unless it's almost certainly OSR and it's going to
set solid if I leave it any longer. What do you experienced keepers think?

"I needed to put a super on at the beginning of April!"

our local SBI recently said that one of the reasons for problems people are having with swarming etc is that they don't get managing their hives early enough in the season.

he recommended first inspect in feb and first super in late march.
