between my 9 hives, leaving aside the nuc

no pattern at all to which are taking and which aren't taking down syrup

strong colony on double brood with stores has demolished feed immediately whereas another strong double brood colony hasn't touched it

couple of single broods have taken it and others haven't touched it

We had a few colonies that were not taking down feed, first thoughts were feeders at fault as a ring of dead bees within the plastic cone plus they seemed to struggle with grip.
This was backed up by a colony that I switched feeders on and hey presto feed was taken (replacement feeder used was one removed from another colony) - changed other questionable feeders and thought I’d got the matter sorted. Checked on colonies yesterday planning to open feeders allowing them to be cleaned and............feed not taken :hairpull:

Will give a little more time & then just monitor weight feeding fondant as required - conclusion, all colonies are different

Check the weight
If heavy they don't want it
If light and still not taking it then check for Nosema....or anything else for that matter but do a quick squash
