Any suggestions on insurance for smallholdings please? I'm looking for a new provider.
NFU Mutual has hiked up my premium by 40%. I've been with them for 25 years with no claims.

NFU wanted £2500 for my house insurance, mainly because I keep five chickens and sell honey from the gate.

Did you find another provider?
Oh yes, I have an annex so I went to one that specialises in annexes. Still expensive but a quarter of the price of the NFU. They also cover my barn which my previous supplier neatly put in the small print that they covered all outhouses except anything that look like, or had previously been called, a barn!!!
If you have an unusual request then use a broker, may seem stupid but they will find you the best deal
