whats the survival rate of this method

About 30 seconds if you don't get it right.

But if you get it right,then the same as any naturally mated queen....and a lot better than some would mate in poor weather conditions.

Easy enought to do it, its knowing what youre doin in terms of breeding that is the skill. Also youll need to be prepared to spend some money to get set up , say £1500 to start on a budget

Not worth it unless you intend to become a serious bee breeder

Yep I think your right, I'll stick with queen rearing, breeding is a different kettle of fish so to speak!:iagree:
