In the current research 'climate', a researcher is more likely to get funding for a project "Identifying the climatic drivers of honey bee disease " than a project "Identifying the drivers of honey bee disease " Thats the way the system works.
A sad reality if there is no compelling economic reason to be truthful. It challenges the integrity of many articles and papers surely??

Academia seems to be all about grant farming nowadays rather than the pursuit of knowledge, after all, someone has to pay for the university chancellor's new Bentley
 
One of the reasons why I've never conducted research work through universities. Just don't rate Bentleys. The monopoly that universities have over apprenticeships is also sickening.
 
There are not many countries, which have honeybee researching in the university.

Hobby beekeepers are eager to get DNA results from their mongrels, but what heck they do with such knowledge. Next summer the colony will swarm, and take its DNA with queen.
