Hydro press

Hi all,

Does anyone have any experience with hydro presses as my normal press seems to just leave me with a lot of honey left in the scrapings/cappings? How good are they for heather honey? what sort of water pressure do you need? are they worth the price tags £700? Is there a cheaper version?

I have no experience but I plan to get one £700 sounds good what size is it ?
I know of folk on here that get on well with them pressing cappings and comb heather honey .

I use an apple press it’s a bit slow but you get a good wax biscuit at the end of the extraction process.
I’m sure other folk on here will be able to give you more advice.

They work on normal tap pressure.

The £725 one is a 30 litre. They do a smaller 20 litre version with powder coated stamd and tray:

Its making it hard over here in Ireland too I used to get maismore hives in the sale every year but its gone way too expensive now.
