Hi,
I was wondering how much i should be asking for my nucs and single brood colony's.
They are all local bee's and the Queen's in the nucs are open mated at my home apiary and this year's Queen's. Made from splits .
The nuc Queen's are in poly 6 frame maisemore nucs ( new this year).
They are all laying well 5/6 frames of bias and will want transferring into single brood in the next week.
Temperament- they are not the best but there not aggressive to inspect you get guard bee's flying out when inspecting but no Vail bouncers and following bee's.
Stability on the frame the Queen's are easy to find and none runners.
As are the workers.
Prolificness the nucs were made from my double brood colony's which are mainly amm in origin and the Queen's are very dark browny/black colour .
There isn't any beekeepers with in a two mile radius of my home apiary and I've 80/90% pure strong amm colony's in the same apiary .
My single brood colony's are over wintered nucs which got transfered 5 weeks ago all frames are drawn and they will be ready with 7/8 frames of bias and two/three frames of mixed stores.
The Queen's in the single brood hives are splits from last summer and again open mated at my home apiary on clee hill near the summit (450m)
All hive body's and roofs are brand new with my mates home made omfs .
The temperament of these colony's are much the same as the nucs but last year's Queen's.
Any ideas how much I should be selling them for?
I wanted to add I've someone interested but when I was asked how much silence was golden at that point.
In my mind there priceless.. and if things were different I would be keeping them all.
Thanks all .
