Inspired by Poly's plan for a clearer I extracted the "My First Toolkit" from its 1972 christmas wrapping and well stocked up with sticking plasters and gin took a deep plunge into the world of DIY

BEHOLD THE MAJESTY OF
THE CLEARER BOARD

Please note the majestic clean lines and microscopic attention to detail. I'm sure this will last for over 1000 years.

My order book is currently not over full, so get your request in now for delivery by October 2015 (cash in advance please)

Looks very nice.

What functional purpose does the Tesco bag serve..?
And if I order now for 2015, what insurance is in place to ensure I get my order if you snuff it?

:)

Can't wait for Richard Hammond to make a programme about it!

Tesco bag is to keep all the spare Porter escapes in, just in case it doesn't work

I can personally guarantee that I'll be alive until 2016. If not I will give you your money back less an admin fee

The flashy Mons. Ab. website is currently showing stock of 9,999 with discount on bulk orders and VAT only on orders of 20 or more. Best get in quick before supplies run out. Paypal ok? Of course! Expect delivery in 46 days. Honest.

slightly more seriously (?) i spot a knot. Is this a Mons Ab first or second grade item? can we start a thread discussing the relative merits of a PH vs an MA?

BTW the grain is supposed to run perpendicular to the escapes!!!

Lol MA it will be even more satisfying when it is put to work and will I have no doubt do a great job.

Don’t stop at a clearer board you have to think big from now on.

agree Tom - I expect Mons Ab to have a full dartington LDH ready for inspection within the week.
look out the apprentices!

The knot is a feature - I think we've all had enough of bland wood surfaces.

The grain running perpendicular to the perpendicular to the escape is a new feature I dreamt up. I think you will find that the bees will be so exhausted by the time they reach the end of the run they will simply drop through and have no strength to try and get back up.

I think you've built it the wrong way up.
Easy mistake ... easily rectified, just invert the hive.

Are you planning to produce a left-handed version as well?

Will there be an additional supplement for this?

Looks good MA, but pray tell what is the source of the plastic parts?

Well I am pleased, (though slightly amazed) to report that both the boards actually did what they were meant to do, and only one of them had an unexpected ventilation feature.

Furthermore I am delighted to be able to report these are not just clearer boards, but they can, with only a minor, patented, adjustment be used as crown boards if you find yourself one short as I did this morning. I am now planning a Mk2 which can also double up as a frame feeder, wasp swat and propolis scrubber.

Thank you to everyopne who has expressed an interest in these and I will endeavour to try to attempt to get all outstanding orders completed, sometime.
