Hi, we’re newbies at bee keeping, we set up our hive with a Buckfast queen in late June, and so far so good!
We have some questions and concerns about getting winter ready, but as a whole, really enjoying bee keeping and our first hive seems happy and healthy!

Hi, plenty of us in sunny Somerset, welcome and ask away. Then pick the answer you prefer :icon_204-2:

For those of you wondering about the soggy flat bit ....... We actually get very little rain. The wild, windy, bumpy bits get all the rain and the river brings all that rain to the flat soggy bit where, as it is designed to do, it floods! Our ground here is powder dry at the moment. 😃👍

I used to be in the Southern most sandy clay mix bit, abutting Dorsetshire, but moved, so it doesn’t count any more.
