Hello from Gower

Hi. Just a few lines to introduce myself. I have been beekeeping for about 19 years managing a few hives.Mostly routine stuff due to family and work commitments. Retired last year and keen to build up my apiary and learn some new techniques / skills. I live on the beautiful Gower Peninsula which is a marvellous place to keep bees.

Hi and thank you for the welcome. I have to confess I am not currently a member. I used to be but have lapsed.................. I get my bees inspected annually by Bee Inspector and problem solve my way around any sticky moments! I've joined the forum for interest, learning and advice. Now I've retired I shall join a BKA again. I used to be with the Swansea Beekeepers, by the way.

Swansea or West Glam - either one would be a good choice, Ade. the SBI is a member of both: if nothing else there's the insurance, a bit of reassurance if you need it and a bit of socialising.

If you fancy a pint - or a glass - and a natter about bees or anything, Swansea Beekeepers swarm to the Con Club in Gowerton on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month, from 7pm-ish til the last one goes...You'd be very welcome - all are, it's not confined to members - just drop in! Light refreshments, too!!
