Hayfever. There is a clue in the name as to the cause.

While I might expect local OSR to improve the symptoms for OSR pollen, I doubt it helps for other pollens to the same extent.

As most grasses are wind pollinated, it is those that cause most hayfever allergies. Bees don't usually forage on grass pollen.

Sooo, the question arises as to whether the fallacy is in the eating of honey, or 'local' honey to reduce hayfever. Or would eating any type of pollen reduce the symptoms?

Or is it a placebo effect, and nothing to do with the honey?

Not really important for those who claim it helps, but the science would be on a much better footing, if things were clearer.
