what do people do

Chuck any leftovers in your next syrup mix for nucs/splits

Either put it away for Winter or syrup it.

I just put mine in hot water and it dissolves politely.

Proper bakers fondant though.

i kept half a tub and its like concrete

Enrico, do you soften it at all or just add in a hard block?

If you keep it covered it stays soft. I used some this Winter that was 4 years old.

If it gets really hard I spray it with water and knead it a bit....... The fondant too!!!!!!.......but if it is in a sealed box usually no problem, hard outside but soft in middle!
