I really didn't like mushrooms or liver when I was a child. Mushrooms because they were slimy when cooked and liver because it was tough as old boots. Very happy to eat either now, especially when the liver is from our own lambs (or pigs, which I usually make into pate).

These days I'll consider eating pretty much anything as long as it's well-prepared. We had some excellent meals at The Fat Duck before Heston Blumenthal became well-known and it became unaffordable. The one thing I really can't stomach is marmite. I find even the smell of it is just too offensive to want to near it.

Brought up during the war primed one to eat frogs if necessary :)
'Faddy eater' wasn't a phrase in common use!
Affluence has down sides it would seem:)
Obesity was reserved for spivs and their offspring :D

I am told when I was a toddler I ate half a slug but I said I no likey :eek:
