I like to think of it as bakers fondant is what is on iced donuts in the supermarket, the rolling icing you use for Xmas cakes is different (harder etc). It is not suitable as contains other things you don't want. Been there, tried it...

if you taste the tescos fondant it has a almondy taste to it where as bakers fondant doesnt have any strange taste at all. i bought 12.5kg last year in case and i have run 13 mini nucs on it this year and still have 4 kg left over.
