First swarm

Well I'm pleased with myself as I just got my first swarm. They were my bees that had swarmed.... but nevertheless actually being able to get them out of a hedge and in a box was quite an achievement for a new beek

Quite a satisfying process although I suspect if you are up a ladder doing it then it gets a whole lot more complex!

I've collected about 20 now and I can tell you each one gives just as much satisfaction as the first.....

Yep well done. Great to be able to get your own bees back. Also great to be able to pick up a swarm that isn’t yours, free bees. I’ve collect quite a few that I’ve given away, I just enjoy collecting them. Gets me out of the house.
