Am taking the course at West Norfolk & Kings Lynn Beekeeping Ass.

Maybe they will give me some advice?

On your toes if anyone offers you a second-hand hive.
 
welcome to the forum Linn as you can see .. a wealth of knowledge on here.
my advice is look at all the available hives decide whats right for you, then get to look at some real hives , some have drawbacks as you will find out. Do your homework regarding prices, cheapest isnt always the best in the long term , recommendation from other beekeepers is the best way forward, Hivemaker comes recommended by loads on this forum as stated above, good luck and keep posting :):)

Will do some homework and prob wait till I start my course and see
