As the title says we've just completed our first honey harvest. Not vast amounts-just one super=20lbs of honey, but very exciting none the less.

Very light golden floral honey & utterly delicious...but I may be biased:sunning:

Bees were not too put out by our thieving. In fact, they seem happier than they have in a while & we're off flying this morning & bringing in lts of pollen & I hope nectar. Now that the very hot weather is behind us, we appear to be having a second wind in terms of flowers. Good weather here can last right up to a Christmas, so maybe we will get a second harvest. Fingers crossed.

Keep a jar.....forever......put it in a special place that people can see it. Always a good talking point.
Well done
E
