just interested to know if its possible to extract the honey from the super without an extractor but preserving the comb on the frames?

I presume its possible if left at an angle upside down over night?

only ask as I have my new 14x12 hive with my polish waste of money hive (going to use it as a bait hive) ready for next year and would like to give the bees a helping hand rather than removing the comb with the honey.

thanks :)

Uncap, leave frame at angle overnight in a WARM ROOM.Reverse angle and leave again.

Very messy.

Surface tension will keep a LOT of honey in the comb.

The better option might be to employ cut comb foundation in the super frames and then just cut out all the capped comb for later use.

Lol i dont trust myself to do that ;). Knowing me it would snap and boom honey decorated garen or house or wife.
