So even government agencies are using Buckfast Bees and imports.
Lol thought I’d start this off!Buckfast Mated Queen ABELO-FERA, pre-order - Welcome to Abelo's Beekeeping Supplies
Damien at Abelo used to work for the nbu and they always preferred to stand on others shoulders with regards to bees, the home apiary at York was stocked with German carnica's when I saw the bees there, shameful for the national bee unit of England and Wales to be reliant on imports imho, but there we go, I suppose we should be grateful it's survived in any shape or form, they're all probably anticipating further cuts now the eu money for beekeepers won't be being misappropriated into the inspection service.

That's actually extremely naughty...lays FERA and the NBU open to charges of publicly favouring one breeder over others...often using the same parent stock...

However..they may not have permission to adopt the name like that. ALL importers have to work with FERA/NBU if they are doing it legally.
