Can anyone out there give me the link to the forum entry about the fail#safe way to introduce a mated queen to a queenless colony, using a queen travel / introduction cage?

a posting that deserves to be stickied.

read it --- lost it --- would like to forward it to a newbee who has already managed to loose 2 queens!

one my fault as did not explain cover over fondant had to be removed from cage!!!

Thanks folks;)

but can not find it !!!

May not be exactly what you are looking for but here is a link to the method I used...

The other way is to use type of queen cage that traps the queen on a frame of hatching brood. Once they hatch they accept the queen in the large cage and them it can be introduced to the q-colony.

Here is an example of the cage and instructions

Replace ***** with honey

I've no affiliations with the above sites, just read the instructions before introducing a new Q.
