if your a member of a local beekeeping association speak to the committee they should have a discount code for members.

I think it used to be 10% not sure if still that much.

The way the discounts work with BBWear is that, if it's being shipped to you, your BBKA group chairman or secretary needs to write/send email to BBWear and tell them that Freda Bloggs is a paid up BBKA member. If you claim the discount - I have a feeling it's 20% - you don't get the gloves included. If you want the gloves, they'll give you a 50% discount on them.

Give them a call to confirm this; they're friendly people.

I also succumbed to temptation and bought a new suit as well. Tut tut.

I wasn't going to get a suit but bought a jacket at omlet being as it was half price.

Couldn't really turn it down

Yes, annoying isn't it. I bought one three weeks ago and thought I'd done well to get the BBKA discount. Those suits in their sale are amazing value.

Treat yourself to a cut price bee clock instead :)

I managed to get an OZ ARMOUR from Amazon for £85

Do you need one though?
Impregnable but heavy
If I have bees that might need me wearing one of those then I requeen. Life's too short for ****** bees
Only my opinion
No malice intended

The Oz Armour suit is a ventilated suit designed for use in hot weather. It's bee sting impregnability is a fortunate bi-product of it's ventilated design. Think of a string vest with layers of mesh either side. It is heavy but not noticebale when wearing one.
Totally invaluable for hot weather inspections, I was inspecting in speedos and wellingtons (plus Oz armour) during the hot spell....and no you can't see the pictures :)
Of course if ALL your colonies are of docile disposition no suit is needed.
