Once in swarm mode both parts will produce Q cells if one carries out the demaree to the book and that is moving all brood up.

Preciseluy what I was pointing out. We catch on so quickly here it is quite bewildering.

if you find QC's it's too late for a Demarree as it's a pre-emptive method, you just need to judge the colony and know when they are likely to prepare to swarm.

Eminently suitable, they won't make many up there (sometimes none at all) but any cells will be made on the supersedure principle rather than panic mode emergency QC's I've seldom had QC's from Demarree's that were made from larvae more than a day old
