I am a new beginner.
I have 2 hives with open mesh floor. One hive is from a swarm and the other a 6 frame nuc. I have them since May.
Both hives are doing well however the bees are working on the bottom wire and closing the gaps with comb and are also Building brood comb on the crown cover openings.
What should I do?

Give them a box of new frames. They are building comb cos they need more room. You only need holes in the crown board for feeding so cover them with a bit of plastic. They often build comb on e bottom of the bottom frames but it shouldn't be linking to the OMF floor. Have you got the floor the right way up!
