Did you used to play splits (or split the kipper)?

We had a game we’re you threw a knife as close as you could to your opponents foot,
they then had to do the splits to where the knife stuck in the ground.
When you lost your nerve and thought they might hit your foot or worse through lack of valence you could throw the knife between their legs so they could move there foot in and get some respite..
Don’t remember anyone getting hurt or hearing of any stabbing other than the occasional cut from sharpening a knife with the stone rested on your thy

Yes we called it chicken. I remember when I was around six making a fire and setting my mums hedge on fire. When me and my brothers went into the kitchen for a third glass of water she twigged

I managed to chuck a pen-knife into my ankle; a damaged sock and a scar that was there for a few years. Matron was not impressed, however she didn't tell the (fiendish) headmaster, for which I was very grateful.
