Mine are always out and I doubt there's many more exposed apiaries in the country. Stands are a mix of about 20' high and pallets, floors are a mix of Jbm's underfloor design and paynes/maismore poly hive floors. Damp and mould are problems when the inserts alre left in

Different micro-climates?? Never had mould. Had damp if I don't leave a small gap between entrance and floor.
