Clipped Queens

I have something in the back of my mind that i may have read or may have dreamed about , that clipped Queens can contribute to supercedure, not that it matters as we can keep our flying bees and get hopefully mated Queens every year.
Can anyone shed any light on this.

I have come across that idea, but looking for it now I found a reference to a New Zealand study from the '70's.

Clipping did not lead to
increased supersedure (Table 1).

Had a little read of that and i think that is what i may have read before (cabbaged head) eat your heart out , too much info coming in at the moment with other thing's so my hard drive is flashing Red..
