Just inspected and single charged queen cup found, queen not seen but eggs and larvae present and plenty of stores and room in 14x12 brood box with super above. I plan to look again in a day or two. If the queen cup is progressing what do members think I should do?:thanks: heatwave into 3rd day!

Just the one?
How big is colony
How old is queen
Welsh BKA has an excellent site on queen cells the law and myths explained... with good clear images too!

Without wishing to sound rude or anything else......I think you should read up on what YOU want to do. There are several options but you have to decide which s the best route for you and the way you wish to manage your bees. I can't guess that so ....... Happy reading

Perform a horizontal or vertical AS or remove the old queen to a nuc unless there really IS only the one...did you look for eggs in all the play cups? And spray your beesuit with a water spray....some of us have spent over eight hours in a bee suit in the last three days with no lasting effects including setting up two new apiaries ;)
