First time posting after lurking...
Found this dead and desiccated insect while inspecting hive today. It has no colour, though I also have no clue if wasps et al lose their colour once they're dead and dried out? The end of the abdomen is missing, and it's entirely empty. There is the base of a second pair of wings, though no wing material left. It's a little curled over, and I'd estimate length if the abdomen was intact at around 25mm. Other than being able to describe it, I'm at a loss to positively identify it.
Anyone any thoughts?
