Bumblebee colony under garden

What should I do if I have a bumblebee colony under my garden? Why do they live underground? Do bumblebees make honey or not? How big are bumblebee nests? Any advice?

Leave them to it if they are not in the way. The workers will die off in Autumn and a queen will hibernate for winter. They do not make honey for this reason.
