I am in year 2 of beekeeping, I have read quite a few of the basic books, Haynes, Dummies Guide, Bees at the Bottom of the Garden, Ted Hooper.....
I am looking for a book to learn more about bees, rather than beekeeping, to get a better understanding of the bees and how that relates to the methods I use, any good recommendations, thanks.

Look for books by Thomas Seeley, Jurgen Tautz, Mark Winston you won't go far wrong.

Mating Biology of honey bees by Koeniger, Koeniger, Ellis and Connor, pub. Wicwas Press. Lovely little book

Oops, possibly not so relevant for the "methods I use", but still a lovely little book!

Haynes Bee Manual ... i was given it 10yrs ago and it set the seed and i still have it now... not that i refare to it much.. another amazing book i have is (The Buzz About Bees) .. i like the hobby but this book goes a little deep for me.. (mentally challenged Maybe) but i will never know..

Great replies, I have a few of the books listed, so I have bought “The Biology of the Honey Bee”, that one looks closest to what I am after.
Thanks Nick
