Hi,

As i mentioned a few days ago i had given plastic frames a go and used some old foundation i had and melted that down to wax the frames however the bees seem to really like it and i need to do some more. Does anyone have a source for some nice wax at reasonable prices ?

Paul.

Nearly every beekeeper generates some wax every year. There must be someone local to you (local BKA?). You could buy yourself some real beeswax candles, or a beeswax block from a supplier. Just be sure it is from a healthy source.

Beware that lots of candles, although advertised as beeswax, only contain a minority of the real stuff!

About half of mine stands outside in a 15 litre plastic bucket at the moment.

Regards, RAB
