i would sooner go and sit in a ditch

I thought ... with a twelve guage and some decoys over spring sown corn. This time of the year inside a bale hive, would be more comfortable.

I am carrying around with me a bit of a spare tyre and any bit of exercise in needed badly, so i need to get up of my backside and do a bit of walking and dragging. Deer season works out perfect for me with the bees as they really only over lap in september. Just as well, as i think the bees might lose out, or i would have to re juggle my beekeeping.

I find my spare tyre invaluable as added winter warmth, it soon goes as the days lengthen towards the end of april.

Flying birds of prey is more of October\November start so fits in nicely. When the birds in the hedgerows are starting to nest and baby bunnys start to appear it is time to stop... around the same time as the first inspection.

being preoccupied during those early spring days helps to assist with the overpowering urge to open the hives...

Can anyone recommend a pillar candle mould? I like the idea of using some of my wax to make a few candles but not the rolling type.

I screwed together two pieces of wood and bored the mould dead centre. Works a treat - I needed a specific diameter for a lace maker's lamp, so a bespoke mould for a particlar application in my case.
