My wife tells me that honey bees are getting a mention on Jeremy Vine's radio show today, apparently because a shopkeeper had to close his shop last week due to a swarm that decided to bivouac next to the door.
Not that I'll be listening to it. Whenever I've had the misfortune to overhear the programme it appears to be full of swivel-eyed lunatics who think Genghis Khan was bit soft so they'll probably be demanding that bees are only kept in parts of the country where no-one lives or in specially-designed buildings that they can't escape from. Or demanding that beekeepers who lose a swarm get prison sentences.
