Damn! A lot more than I ever thought I'd have
I am surrounded by lime tree's and so have used the garden to house a couple of hives to take advantage of this bounty however, I am noticing bee's are finding their way into the house very late at night eg 11 - midnight through the open windows.

Why? I thought they'd all be tucked up in their hives not flying. If SWMBO realises it will put paid to the hives being "temporarily" in the garden every year to have lime honey.

You leave your kitchen light on during the evening?

althought I suppose midnight is not evening.. Close the window.?

do bees fly by the light of the silvery moon? there was a spectacular full moon a few nights ago!

My bees are under ASBOs to go to bed early...

We've had the kitchen window open a bit for the last few days....One came in last night.

Cordless vacumm cleaner does the job.

lights on tv on bedroom bedside lamp on. That explains it...

.
If you look the hive's foraging in the evening, they stop flying because they do not see in dim light condition like a human. Even robbing bees stop for night and continue their productive work in the morning.
