I really need to get something better than a small rucksack for taking to my out apiary and I’m looking into a tool box or trug type thing but not sure which is the best practically. Obviously should hold a smoker and hive tools and maybe a smaller compartment for the bits and bobs. Something not on heavy. I’m not going to attempt to make one so any recommendations? Pics welcome.

This sort of thing might be right for you, but most are made of 'plastic' so a hot smoker might be an issue. I sometimes bodge an old aluminium framed set of shopping bag carrier wheels up with a basket when I have to go to my out apiary during the winter as the track is up a steep incline and gets seriously soft and boggy at times.

I use a Stansley fatmax tote tool bag to transport the bits. I don't put the smoker in it though. STANLEY FATMAX Technician Tool Bag, Heavy Duty 600 Denier and Leather, Multifunctional Tool Storage Organiser, 18 Inch, 1-93-950 : Amazon.co.uk: DIY & Tools

If you want to move a lit smoker between apiaries then you'll need a smoker box. I see Thorne has a new product which is a smoker box with tool box which might be worth a look?

I didn’t think of something like that so worth consideration. I saw the smoker box but that’s too big really! I guess I can carry the smoker.

my out apiary is in a similar location, might look into a smaller version though, thanks

This is what I use for work, it might do the job.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions, I’ve gone with a Stanley Fat Max open tote bag ( a mix of everyone’s suggestions) which looks just the job minus the smoker option, I’ll have to handle that separately but looking forward to some organisation of my equipment already.
