Hi,
I was on holiday in North Wales last week and spotted this building in Porthmadog.
Anyone have any idea about it's history? I can't find anything on google.

A guess this, but something in my memory says it may be something to do with the Co-op (of old).

Sounds possible.
I managed to find out that it is a listed building but can't find out why.

Listed or listing... perhaps it was the camera lens?

My mother said she thought it was something to do with TOC ~ H whatever that was ????
But they have done it up nice. but did not like the colour.............. had an auntie who lived in POWTH ( Maddok).

Description: Bee-hive Establishment (Tom Parry & Co)

Grade: II
Date Listed: 26 September 2005
Cadw Building ID: 85366

From my many holidays as a child in the area, I remember Tom Parry and co and his brothers co, having many interests as diverse as estate agency to coal delivery and others. So I wouldn't be surprised if they were also into bees too.
