The Geraniums that are good for bees are cranebills, true Geraniums. The bedding and basket types are Pelargoniums, and I've never seen insects on them.
Petunias are very good for hawk-moths if you have any round your way, but make sure you have single-flowered varieties.
I was watching bees having a lovely time on Fuchsia the other day.
