does anyone have some BBJ grading glasses and know what they are like as i was offered some they are in an BBJ case but was not sure if they are the real thing cant seem to find any pics on Internet or info thanks for any replies
 
they are coloured pieces of glass used to grade honey dark, light etc..

Welcome to the forum by the way - do you have bees currently?
 
thanks for all the replies yes i do have bees at the mo as fare as i know they came from the British beekeeping journal years ago just wondered if they were the real thing and thanks justme very interesting just trying to find out a bit more info before buying that was all
 
You want to be careful that they have not faded, the best advice is to keep a set carefully (in the dark to prevent fading) and then to check the ones in full use against that standard at intervals.
