It does seem that his ad was for more boxes than he had made. Hence the late delivery. Shame about the comms.

At 91 quid delivered, flat pack (and better, presumably, for more than one unit), it seems very good value, even if a little sanding is required for a better finish.

That deeper roof looks heavy, but is a good selling point.

I've met Karl and he seems very pleasant and knowledgable we chatted for ages about beekeeping - it's a one horse outfit and sometimes if he gets a big order he gets a bit overwhelmed, the hive parts I bought were fine but be aware that the roof is all plywood or at least the one I had was but that's not such a bad thing as the extra weight saves on the de rigeur brick! :D

Which is mostly good and those with a beef is about finish, which should be expected to be a little bit worse than some of the premium products sold out there (and here of course).
