I collected a plywood bait hive that I set up 3 springs ago with some black smelly comb inside on a single frame screwed to the top of the box. When I opened it up, as expected, the wax had gone , but I was not expecting the frame to have gone also. The screw I had used to screw it to the top of the box was still there, but the frame was no more. What would eat the frame and leave the plywood alone?
