My Google powers may be weak today but are Thornes the only suppliers ?
Apivar has the exact same active ingredients as Apitraz (Amitraz) so that may be worth considering? Paynes and BS Honey Bees both sell it (although out of stock) there are sellers on ebay.
Are folks using the strips as well as oxalic acid treatments or as an alternative? Technically it would take a lot to beat the cost per treatment of OA (if you were allowed to use it without the branded packet of course).....It was coming in fro abroad long before any U.K. suppliers had it. May be worth looking.
An eBay listing claims that Apitraz is safe to use with supers on. Can anyone who has used it advise if that's true or not?

Suppose its a case of what do you prefer, pesticides in your hive or rampant varroaI’m still unhappy about putting such a pesticide in my hives. I did use a couple of strips in a colony that still had an enormous mite load after 7 vapes
Resistance to Amitraz is already being reported

That's what I am trying this year (oxalic), fingers crossed!Oxalic
Not a pesticide in the way Amitraz is
Normal constituent of honey

Is this the stuff I have heard can be found in foundation sold all over Britain?I’m still unhappy about putting such a pesticide in my hives. I did use a couple of strips in a colony that still had an enormous mite load after 7 vapes

Would you kindly point me in the direction of resistance to Apivar, as apart from anecdotal suggestions I've not heard of it being confirmed?
Thanks
