Just bought some Apiguard and will be putting the first dose in tomorrow. These come in the sealed trays which are put above the brood frames but are they designed / measured for a full colony?
I have a small colony in a 5 frame langstroth nuc they are not covering all 5 frames at present and there is some room for expansion should they get through winter. There is BIAS and pollen and stores. I'm feeding above and there is a good flow from the HB coming in.
Do I put the full tray of gel in or reduce the quantity?
Thanks Wingy

I've just done my two hives and my nuc box. I cut the tray in half for the nuc (six-frame, 14 x 12), put the unused bit in a plastic bag then used that two weeks later for the second dose.
