Yes, somebody else posted this on another thread, excellent!
I wonder how they get the pupae to metamorphose uncapped in the glare of the camera lights?

I haven't any idea of how long between the time-lapse shots is but the its reasonable to estimate (note I didn't assume :) ) that lights will only be on at the instant of capturing each image.

There was a case when I placed a cupped Q cell in a mininuke. The cell has fallen on a floor of the nuke by an accident. I lifted it up instantly and placed properly, but it has not saved larva as she is very very sensible to any sorts of …the accidents ( I did not know about it at that time). When I checked that nuke in 10 days after the supposed hatching time (in order to see what brood did she make…), the Q has not hatched, but the cell was in the same place and not damaged by the bees anyhow. I do not know why I left it there for another 3-4 days, but the story is: I had to remove that cell from the nuke manualy, as bees simply ignored it. I mean they were running across the cell without any hesitation and respect to the dead, but they definitely did not try to tear it down.
Situation in a big hive might be different I suppose…

Nope… You`d think it, actually :) :

I think they won`t tear it down even in a big hive... For a while, at least :)

Perhaps it's because there could be a flow on and then they would when things quieten down. That is when they are less busy, they would do the house work? :)
