Yippee!!!! Happy girls again...as we suspected they had superceded - and big-foot here had wandered through the hive every week without fail, while it was going on. Duh!
I now have a big fat Queen, about double the size of my old first year Q. The hive is apparently strong and reasonably healthy - with a bit of Varroa, which I'll treat next week.
The Inspector was really helpful, and didn't make me feel like an idiot too often at all. Hive is now back together properly including spacings....heaven.
AND...if I didn't know better, I'd swear my girls are smug at getting it done behind my back!!
