The plot-holder next to mine allotment has birdfeeders
Depends what they're feeding. Encouraging blue tits clears a lot of aphids and grubs from your crops.

My only advice, as per others, would be to find another spot for your bees.

After my experience last year with one neighbor I can only say "out of sight out of mind" is true. I moved most of the hives to out apiaries and the one remaining in the garden is hidden from sight of the neighbor.

Of course you could leave an empty hive in place and see if you still get complaints, this allows you to embarrass the people complaining but ultimately that will not help for any chances of keeping bees on your allotment in future.

Do they complain when a fly "bumps" into them?

Neighbours (again)

Mocko, if your having trouble with your neighbours (again) and to save the hassle why don't you pack up and move your hives into your garden if you have one? i did many months ago and it was the best thing a did no more moaning gits - lol

I had wrongly assumed that plotholders would already understand all these things, but they did not.

obviously didnt pay much attention at school.
